So I'm about 15 minutes away from giving a presentation in my Engineering Fendementals class. I did fine this morning but had a mini attack when I came to campus, now I think I'm doin ok; well, ok enough to get through the class. Any one else have "mini attacks' before public speaking engagements? Any tips?

Practice, practice, practice when it comes to public speaking. I do fine at work, usually...but if you put me on a stage with a podium in front of me, I still get nervous. I work at a museum, so I do minor public speaking on a regular basis. I do have "mini attacks" when I'm nervous. I remind myself to calm down and I'll be fine. I also have a safe snack like apple sauce or a Luna bar. either just before or just after whatever's making me nervous.
