Hello everyone!

Thank you all for such wonderful words of encouragement. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but I concentrated on taking it easy over the weekend, so I wasn't on the boards at all.

The weekend turned out to be ok. Saturday I was still completely exhausted, but I was able to sleep a lot of the day. Saturday night ended up being the best... I slept through the night and didn't wake up until almost 10:00 Sunday morning. It's amazing what getting some sleep can do for you.

I'm still experiencing some cramping, but I've been able to keep it under control. It's been fairly mild, and seems to be getting less and less as the days pass. Having some actual quiet time this weekend really gave me the ability to concentrate on relaxing.

As for the issues with the neighbors... I talked to my landlord this morning. Apparently they complained about DH walking into their apartment and turning off their blaring tv. I agree that he shouldn't have done that, but what was he supposed to do? I was bawling and DH felt that he had no choice... He knows that I need to sleep.

I told my landlord that because of the lack of sleep and all of the stress from it, that I'm starting to experience minor complications, and that I wanted the neighbors to be aware of it. I'm not one for putting blame on other people, but I think in this case it's more than justified. We're dealing with my unborn child here, and the possible risk of a pre-term delivery. They need to understand the importance of the decrease in my stress level and increase in my sleep and that they're the ones that have taken that control away from me.

As for moving out... it's become more of an obstacle now because of this small complication. I really need to be careful of my activity level. As I said, I'm really torn. The doctor issue is still scary to me, but I think it's something I would be able to overcome, and I so so badly want to move back up to MN into a house of our own, but moving could and most likely would cause more problems with my pregnancy. Because DH is so busy at work, I would be the one to have to do all of the packing and preparing.

We ARE still working on figuring something out. I'm not willing to live with someone else during the rest of my pregnancy because I would miss DH too much, so that's completely out of the question. Hopefully things will get better with our neighbors... at least it's been quiet for almost a week (fingers crossed). We WILL move out of here no matter what before the end of the year. I just pray that it's after baby is born and after DH finds a job that's relatively easier.

On a happier note... DH was asked to send an updated pic of my growing belly to a friend, so I thought I'd also share it with all of you...

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that you're all doing well.

I don't know how much it could cost but there are companies over here that will do all your packing for you as well as the moving....maybe that would help? Or could you get lots of friends and family to help? And alot of househunting can now be done over the internet and phone...could you then get some friends/family to help you look at places?

I'd say that moving out would be sooooo good for you...and staying with family/friends just while you look for a new place would mean you could get rest w/out not seeing hubby for too long. Give it a think.

I wish it was that easy!

Unfortunately since DH and I have been here (not quite a year), I haven't made any friends. There's one person that works for DH that might be willing to help me pack, but other than that I'm pretty much on my own. All of my family and all of DH's family live in other states, so that also rules out any help from them. As for hiring a moving company... I've checked this out before. It's just way too expensive.

I agree that staying somewhere else would be beneficial, however, DH is so busy at work (and so stressed with it) that without me around, nothing ever gets done... he barely feeds himself.

I don't mean to argue every point of yours, but beleive me... these are all things that I've thought about. I totally feel like my hands are tied behind my back. I know eventually things will turn out better... it's just the waiting and making it through everything that's so difficult!

Thanks for everything!

Hi Rachel,

LOVE the pic! You look GREAT!

Girlfriend, I vote that you stay where you are until after the birth. Moving is extremely stressful, and it sounds like you could really do without that right now. I understand neighbor problems -- oy, do I understand! -- but it seems as if you might have worked things out, for now at least. Moving to a different neighborhood with new neighbors could backfire, and you could end up with even worse neighbors. (Yep, believe it or not....)

Right now, I'd stay in familiar, comfortable surroundings, and let go of any stress you can, such as worrying about where you'll go during the remainder of your pregnancy. Once the child is born, then you can decide whether or not to move.

That's my vote, and I'm stickin' to it.

Bevvy

P.S.: You're the best-lookin' gal I've ever seen in glasses, ya know that?! Most people can't pull it off (like me, for instance), but Girl, you got it goin'!

You look so beautiful pregnant. When are you due again? Too bad your family wouldn't come and help you move. I'm pretty sure if we were in your position our family would do whatever they could to help. I hope things get easier soon. You will definatly want to move after your little girl(?) is born. It will be horrible trying to get her to sleep through that kind of noise.

Awe... thanks.

That's another thing I've thought about. These kids have absolutely no respect for anyone else but themselves! I'm sure they wouldn't even think twice about waking my sleeping child. Jerks!

Rachel,

I'm so glad that you finally got some sleep! You need to be getting your rest. I can't believe you are still dealing with these obnoxious neighbors.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having minor problems with your pregnanacy. Please take care of yourself! I understand your concern about not moving out now because of the physical strain it would be on you. I am in the same boat. We are wanting to downsize, but because of my back problems, I'm worried about packing and moving---and making my physical problems worse.

That baby will be here before you know it---and I hope it cries all night and keeps those neighbors awake!!!

You're officially the cutest pregnant woman I've ever seen!

I'm sorry to hear about the complications, and the neighbors still being assholes... and I'm sorry I missed your call, but hopefully Adam was able to help with the computer stuff, at least. I will try to call you tomorrow during the day - I got back from Salem last night and I'm still unpacking, getting caught up, etc etc.

Love ya!

I'm glad you were able to get some rest Rachel. I totally agree with you about the renting deal...for the birds!

I hope you're landlord takes you medical condition seriously and takes a firmer stance with these people.

Thanks for sharing your picture with us, too!

Yes, I remember having to take it easy after a pre-term labor scare too and it really did work. Glad you got some sleep. It's amazing how much better you feel. Now if you could only get it on a regular basis huh! I feel so bad for ya. Did you try ear plugs?

Oh, by the way, you look great. You seemed to pop out real quick in the beginning but now it seemed to have evened out. Just keep that little one happy in there and keep eating healthy and getting some rest.

Hi, Rachel--

I agree with everyone. You look adorable!

I hope that things with the heinous neighbors get resolved very soon. Try to get lots of rest, okay?
