Too many clothes...what to do with them?

Hey Guys,

Hoping to get some creative suggestions here. I've got tons of clothes...most of them brand name and reasonably expensive that I need to get rid of. A lot of them have barely been worn and they're all in excellent condition.

The thing is, my weight has fluctuated so much over the last two years that I've just got tons of stuff that doesn't fit and is in great condition, and I'd love to make some money off of them.

I tried selling a few things on Ebay but that didn't go very well, I think part of the problem was that since I'm in Cananda, shipping to the US is more money, so that kind of limited my prospective buyers.

Anyways, any suggestions for how I might be able to get rid of some clothes and make a bit of money? Most of the stuff is things like Gap, American Eagle, Roots...stuff like that.

Thanks,
Kelly

Do you have any clothing consignment stores in your area?

I LOVE picking up people's hardly worn brand name clothes from my local trash and treasure. It doesn't cost much for a stall and you can place yourself somewhere where heaps of people will walk past and hopefully take a look (only downside is you can't charge TOO much for them there). Otherwise over here if you're selling something for under $100 you can advertise it in the paper for free, is there anything like that in your area? Ummm I sometimes put ads up on noticeboards at shopping centres that way people are always around. Hope this helps and good luck (sigh, if I lived closer and they fit me I'd happily take some off your hands )

Donate them to me!!!

Or you could see whether there's a recycle boutique that will sell them for you. We have a couple of shops that will sell your designer stuff for a commission here.

Find a resale shop- they'll buy the brand name stuff off of you.
