I had a cat that did that too. On the face, across the neck like a mink stole, or on the pillow on top of the head. I have been given to understand that that's where the old wives' tale about cats sucking babies' breath originated: cats like to sleep near your head cause your breath is warm.

She sleeps behind my head, against the wall and my head.

That is her expression ALL the time. She is just a little princess cat that thinks her sh*# doesn't stink! I have a male dog and what a difference female animals are to male animals!!!

Wow what a beautiful color. Is that natural?? If it is you don't need highlights. I have some red to my hair but it needs help looking more red. I have this excellent "mousse" stuff that I use on my hair. It's chestnut color and you put in on wet hair and it lasts about 5 or 6 washes. It's great to experiment with since it's not permanent. I use it in between my "real" color that I get every 6-8 weeks. Holds me over.
I know what you mean by "butchering". I once had a color put on called bodacious purple. I should have known by the name. That is was!!!! I was only in my early 20's so at that age who cared!

Sooooooooo true. My two males are just the nicest, most well-adjusted, friendliest guys, and my two females, well, one is a nervous spook and the other is the Imperious Princess of All She Surveyeth. (I can just hear my husband at this point saying, and, this is different from human males & females...how, exactly...?...)

arrrgh! I'm having terrible trouble trying to make these photos work!
Here's a link to the whole album.. the tabby cat is Tippy, the ginger one is my sister's cat Icky (short for Icarus) that lives with me, the spaniel is Eddie and the small dog is Sammy.

Cat's are great. There's a neighborhood cat that visits me (mostly during bad weather) and camps out in our back yard. I call him "Frankie" cause he acts like some "out of place dude from Brooklyn transplanted in Los Angeles." No disrespect intended to all of you NYC people...
I'm one of those peculiar types who likes both cats and dogs, equally. Chihuahuas are my favorite breed of pooch. -hope to have couple of chis, one day. Yet, there's something about a cat that defies description.
Bob.

I had to dig to find pictures. And sorry they're crappy - at the time I didn't have a digital camera, just a webcam.
This is what I looked like in early February 2001:
A couple weeks later, I looked more like this:
I LOVED having my hair that short... I'm thinking about doing it again, but probably not purple this time.
