as in my folks are in town... we're looking at houses.. mom the interior designer is going to make expensive suggestions she's already made and we've ruled out after talking with the realtor and my FIL who buiilds houses on spec about how to get this place ready to sell...
the good part is they can see what we're looking at and we're going to talk to them long and hard about what we're looking for so maybe they can finally understand. then again they think we should get rid of the historic cars that Bill is working on and were his grandfathers rather then look for a palce with space for him to work on them under cover (as in with a barn or space to build one)

Yeah, it can get confusing with lots of people having different opinions about what kind of house to get. Looking at houses is easy, working out what you want is the hard part. The more you can narrow it down to the real essentials, the better. We were househunting at the beginning of the year and we had to see forty houses before we found the right one, but thirty-five of them were not even close! So don't get distracted by your family's "helpful suggestions" - if you know what you want, don't waver!
