This is so weird. I totally reported in last night, read it, edited it, and it's gone! I must've forgotten to do the final submit. Damn. Y'all missed out on some really nice whining. (And here I was, all, why isn't anyone giving me the support I so obviously need! Helps to post first, duh. ) Last night I acted out some old habits that I'm trying to learn myself out of, namely eating at home late at night because I'm tired/bored/looking for comfort. Once I wrote out my food for the day (I keep track on fitday and then write it out here) it didn't look so terrible, but the badness wasn't *what* I ate (2 T peanut butter and a few blackberries) but rather the behavior patterns I was acting out. (The triggers for my bad habit, I think: late dinner, snacking on peanut butter, and popsicles, which are never as satisfying as they should be. Also, eating at home at all when I'm getting home from working late. The nights I've had soy chips or a kind bar on the way home and said, 'Okay, done for the day' were much easier. Once I start it's harder to stop. It's not always possible, because of my schedule, but it's good to remember.) Here's the food:

2 scrambled eggs w/ rosemary & UFO
1/2 c blackberries

big big salad:
baby spinach
cherry tomatoes
grilled portobellos
tofu
balsamic vinegar

1 dried fig
5 small dried apricots
9 almonds
a few walnut pieces

1/2 c lactaid cottage cheese
2 T pineapple
1 T wheat germ

brussels sprouts (cooked in olive oil)
string beans
tempeh
2 T pineapple
teriyaki sauce

popsicle
2 T natural chunky peanut butter
1/2 c blackberries

1678 calories, 94g protein, 44% calories from fat.

I need to remember that one of my goals, in addition to calorie count and protein, is the *kind* of food I'm eating, and this was perfectly in line - lots of whole foods, lots of veggies. This is a healthy, healthy day, and I need to be proud of that.
