I've been diagnosed with IBS for almost 5 years now, and high fibre, low fat, low dairy diet makes pain subdued and bearable, but I have terrible recurring problems, including very frequent movements, (8 time or more daily) and incredibly excessive gas and mucus issues. As well as mixed constipation and diareah almost every day.
The main issue I'm having, and i'm curious if anyone else has this problem and has suggestions for dealing with it, is that I find that trying to have intercourse with my partner can be very uncomfortable quite often. It causes pain from gas pressure and I feel unattractive and not very sexually receptive. I literally have to plan out sex all through the day, eating almost nothing but bread and water, then take a bathroom break 5 to ten minutes in advance, and I can't take too long doing the act for fear of gas and pain occuring. I also find that I'm afraid even when i feel good, and it makes the event unenjoyable. This has desroyed the spontaniousness that usually makes sex fun and exciting.
I was hoping someone would have any suggestion for me. I'm really quite desperate, I've got to get this gas problem under control even for a few hours at a time.
