I'm new to message board. I've actually never been on a message board ever! So, I have no idea what I'm doing!
I have irritable bowel syndrome and have for years. I also have mild to moderate relaxed pelvic floor.
My question is quite embarrassing but I've not found help in any form (through GI doctors, internists, gynecologists, colon-rectal doctors). I'm wondering if the IBS, in addition to the pelvic floor problems, is part of the cause of my problem and if the IBS diet will help, or any resolve, the issue.
Here goes: I'm having fecal incontinence during intercourse, only during intercourse. Is this something that anyone else is dealing with or has dealt with?
This is not my only IBS symptom but this is obviously a big concern. This has been going on consistently for about 3 years and off and on for longer than that. This happens 95-100% of the time.
HELP!
Thanks.

Hi Steph
Welcome to the boards. You posted this on the Fitness Board which doesn't have a lot of traffic. If you re-post on the Eating for IBS Diet Board you will probably get more replies.
I don't have any experience of what you describe so sorry that I can't help any more than this.

Hi Steph, Say didn't you post this on the diet board? I resp- onded by asking you exactly what your pelvic floor problem was so I could give you some advice. Maria also responded by suggesting immodium, and the thread is gone!!!! Vanished! I thought maybe Heather moved it here, but our posts aren't here. I'm totally bewildered as to what the heck is going on with the boards. I posted to Heather, hopefully we'll find out. -Bob

Hi Sinead, She did this morning, and Maria and I had posted to it, and now the thread is GONE! Poof, vanished!! I posted to Heather on the diet board asking what is going on?!! This is driving me nuts. Whole threads shouldn't just dissappear, and there was nothing bad in it to delete. Maybe it's some tricky little Irish Leprecaun's up to no good just before St.Patty's day, eh! Have a good St. Patty's Day tomorrow! -Bob

I saw it on the diet board too! I wonder what happened? Thanks for the St Patrick's Day wishes Bob, we had a very quiet one. The whole country goes crazy so sometimes it's nice just to sit back and watch them!
We did go out to cheer on our rugby team (by watching in the pub) we beat England by 4 points at the last minute and won the Triple Crown (A trophy that is given out in the Rubgy Six Nations Championship for whatever team beats all the others of Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland) It made for great celebrations!
Hope you had a happy one too.

Sinead, Congrat's on the rugby championship! Sounded like quite an exciting game. I'll bet that Ireland,Wales, and Scotland were all pysched up to beat the English.
Yes, I had a pretty decent St. Patty's day. I wore my 1860's kelly green Fenian vest and pants to school and then to the only Irish restaurant in our area owned by a real Irishman named Cormac Ronan. Cormac had a real Irish folk singer there too! He sang a real beautiful song that I had not heard of before(believe it or not). I remember the last few lines go like this,
When laws can stop the blades of grass from growin' as they grow And when the leaves in summer-time their color dare not show, Then I will change the color too I wear in my caubeen; But till that day, please God,I'll stick to the Wearin' of the Green! Hope you didn't have too much to drink at the pub now - The 3/4 Irishman Bob
