IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Not in any particular order/sequence and over the whole day:

--2 carrots
--1 c. beets
--portabellini mushroom salad (with a little fennel and celery for "flavour")
--Greens du jour: Red swiss chard/asparagus/sweet basil (pureed)
--Homemade "No Chicken Rice Noodle soup"--1/2 c. white rice noodles. (I love adding extra ginger!) ***added a few slivers of carrot/celery/fennel and a couple shitake mushrooms for colour.

Less than a thousand calories, but over 60 grams protein, less than 8 grams of fat. My diet, lately tends to work out to less than 10 percent fat and always over 30 percent protein. Note: I'm not dieting, but I think "tracking" and "charting" are just good tools. I need to think of creative ways of adding calories. I do have a guest for the summer, an Exchange student from Mexico. She only eats processed food, so maybe she'll corrupt me!!!
