In my defence, it's v.hot atm and I had a major headache yesterday, but the target is even adjusted for spending extra time in bed. Getting a wee bit worried that I'm messing with my metabolism. I've had quite a few too-low-cal days.

I know it's hard to get in enough cals when it's hot - you just lose your appetite. Make sure you're getting plenty of fluids, which I'm sure you are. You can always try some cranberry juice to up your calories, and fluids. I don't think a few days of low cals is going to mess your metabolism. Just don't make a habit of it.

Yeah that's probably too little... but don't stress out about it too much. A few low cal days here and there aren't going to sabotage your metabolism - actually if anything it will probably shock it up a little. Just make sure that you work on getting back up there. When it's really hot 'drinking your cals' can be easier - like fruit smoothies, etc.
Hot lazy days I find the worst for getting enough food mostly because I usually oversleep, like on weekends to catch up for the week. So those days are always really low cal for me simply because my waking hours are shorter!

For a couple days hun, it should be alright.
PS-I did not pay attention to what I ate yesterday-bad day, big family fight, and I had ice cream. Naughty. Felt horrid today.

I don't think it will devastate your metabolism. It's hot. You feel yucky with migraines, etc. If anything, eating just might make you feel yuckier so keeping it light just may be what the doctor ordered. It's called listening and honouring your bod. In the heat, my hours are erratic--late nights and sleeping until noon and then siestas and not going out in the heat as the doctor orders, plus the heat is a big time IBS trigger...try some smoothies? soups? yin foods are cooling foods. Seriously...mostly I felt soupy all day!!! If you want a divine treat, try homemade sorbet. It's as simple as pureed fruit frozen in half cups. Mango Madness! Passionate Papaya.
