I'm just feeling pretty green, today.
beet/celery/wheatgrass juice alfalfa puree of celery/chives/spinach portabella mushrooms, mesculn romaine lettuce, parsley, carrot
puree of asparagus/dill/spinach
kiwi applesauce, 1 cup (fuji, organic, homemade) cranberry juice, real
I go through a lot of days without grain.
Calories? Who knows and who cares as I am not attempting weight loss and nourish myself semi-intuitively.
Does anyone else drink raw organic apple cider vinegar? Just curious.
I'm a moody eater, to some degree. I think I'm going to start eating beets for breakfast again (yes, cooked) or at least doing beet juice in some way/combination.
Activity? My m.d. doesn't want me exercising until my electrolytes, i.e. sodium/chloride levels are improved and my blood shows less muscle deterioration. So, just housebound stuff, yoga/stretching.
Note: My mucscle deterioration is not due to protein/albumin deficiency. It's related to sodium retention.
I'll probably either have some banana later, or another kiwi or more applesauce or just sip on some real cran. spritzer.

So, it could be because I'm due to get my period, or it could be stupid eating, but I'm actually at an all time weight high for this year. When I weighed myself this morning I was at 137.5. I am obviously very unhappy about this.
Today:
coffee- 1
cheerios- 2
soup- 5
corn- 1
hot dog bun- 4
green beans- 0
veggie hot dog- 1.5
condiments- 1
snack- 2
total: 18.5
Minus 1:15 with personal trainer 2 points
1 hr walk with dogs 2 points
total exercise: 3 points (all you can count)
total: 15.5
I'm feeling so disappointed in myself.

-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I grew up on a sweetcorn farm! ) Tamy's sliced potatoes, tea, handful junior mints like 5-6 dessert: 1 1/2 bowls tootie frooties exercise: my break day, but I was going to garden but took so long running errands (frustrating ones!!! ) that I didn't have time. Don't let it get you upset. Sometimes there is nothing we can do to control our guts - even with our best efforts, they have a mind of their own. And remember - stressing about it makes it worse! So do your best to stay calm and don't worry about calories - eat what makes your tummy feel better. Eventually, your gut will get straightened out again.
Hugs!

lunch: PB sandwich, Tostitos, Luna bar
snack: fruit roll-up
dinner: linguine w/ garlic (only a little) clam sauce, broccoli (steamed & mushy for safe eating )
dessert: two scoops Soy Dream French Vanilla (Yum when I ate it, but ick later. Whenever I eat this I get gassy and crampy. It must be the carageenan; the remaining ingredients I eat in other foods w/o problems.)

Wow Shell, congrats.I have just been reading everyones comments. I went to the "fitday website" and started entering in my daily food intake just for today and OMG...what a shocker!!! What a great program. It calculates EVERYTHING...it really shows you exactly what you eat. I was wondering why I was not losing weight when I hardly eat anything, (I am IBD-D) but now I know why. I am so looking forward to receiving my "kit" in the mail this week and eating correctly for me. Keep up the good work.

Just MHO, but it looks like you aren't eating enough. Could your metabolism have slowed down a bit because you are eating such little food. I thought we could count 4 AP's in WW. Are you doing an older program than the Flex plan?
Don't be so down on yourself, just commit to do better tomorrow. However, i don't see what you could do other than eat more 0 point veggies maybe to help boost your metabolism. Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice. I did WW successfully Jan 04 to May 04. After I got to my goal I stopped dieting. Due to an amazingly stressful first semester I could eat and drink anything and not gain weight. Second semester my body adjusted to the stress but I kept eating like it didn't. So, I didn't really recommit to watching what I was eating until, umm... Sunday. I've been halfheartedly checking in, but eating all kinds of super calorie filled foods. So I've gained weight by being dumb, basically. Now that I'm eating well again it should drop off once more. Hmm... it could be that we could have 4 activity points in a day. I might have remembered wrong. Regardless, my meeting leader always said you didn't necessarily have to eat those so I usually don't count them as extra points.
And thanks for the food thing... like I said, I just started being good again, so I really doubt my metabolism has slowed down already. I'll watch for that!

Sorry to bother you, but another question? Do you find your IBS is better or worse by limiting the amount of food you eat? That seems like a small amount of food for an IBS sufferer. If I get hungry and don't get something in my stomach quick, I'm really sick. I have to force myself to eat breakfast, (sometimes it makes me gag even) but I know if I don't eat a meal that will "stay with me" a while, I'll be paying for it dearly in the afternoon. This is so tiresome...I'm close to becoming a recluse so I won't have to worry about my gut so much.
by the way, Good Luck with your weight loss, sounds like you have it figured out. Noone knows your body as well as you, so i'm sure you know how much you should be eating to lose. i wish I was in tune with my body at least enough to manage the IBS, losing weight can come later. LOL Thanks for taking the time to talk with me.

Oh, you're not bothering me. To be totally honest, and I'll probably get crap around here for this- I've had my IBS since I was a very small child. So when I don't eat when I'm hungry my stomach does swell up and become incredibly painful. But I just ignore it. I think it's because I've never known a time where my stomach didn't swell up or I didn't have alternating D and C or gas that I just deal with it as it is. Part of it is training, for example I really need to sit down and have a dedicated lunch time. For some reason if I try to eat while doing other things from 12-1 my stomach gets super cranky. Unfortunately all of my teachers love scheduling my classes then. So there's absolutely nothing I can do about the fact that my stomach will freak out.
I'm sorry your IBS is bothering you so much! I wish you best of luck in getting it under control and I wish I had better advice than I just soldier on!

Wow...I dont' see how you do it. I can't function when my stomach is acting up. It consumes me and I can't concentrate and am just pure miserable. I'm taking fiber and living on imodium AD, but at least I get some relief that way so I can get what I absolutely need to done . I can't imagine being a college student with this. I admire you. Thanks for answering my questions. This is all still new to me.
