Does anyone know of a good prenatal vitamin to take with IBS? I have twinlab right now and I have bloating and gas after taking it, even taking it with food. A brief history of my IBS: I was diagnosed with IBS when I was about 26 I am 37 now. Now looking back, as a child I have always had a problem with constipation, gas and bloating. And it just progressed as I got older.
Where I am in my life right now? I moved from the suburbs to NYC about 1 1/2 years ago and I am not working, just got married in Sept.'04 to my high school sweetheart and now trying to have a baby. So needless to say there has been a lot of changes and stress in my life lately. I have anxiety and I am very sensitive to change. My IBS has a very strong reaction with brain-gut dysfunction and I think the food just aggravates it. Also the change of seasons aggravate it as well. So right now I am having a horrible bout. If I go to visit family or friends at home, it is impossible for me to socialize due to having constant gas where my stomach bloats and gets very distended and it is very painful and uncomfortable. Not a way to go through life that's for sure. If anybody has any suggestions on some prenatal vitamins I sure would appreciate it. Thank you.

Glad to have you on board!
You might want to try doing a board search for prenatal vitamins. It seems to me that this has come up in the past, and you might find the information you're looking for a little quicker than waiting for someone to happen to know the answer to your question.
I'm definitely with you on stress and change being huge IBS triggers. Have you tried anything for anxiety/relaxation? Yoga is wonderfully calming, and I've heard that the hypnotherapy program sold here on the site is phenomenal (although I admit I haven't tried it myself).
Anyway, nice to meet you, and hope to see you around!

Thanks so much. I will try the search. I do Yoga at home and excercise. It helps for a little while but then my symptoms creep back slowly over the course of the day. I will look into the hypnotherapy. Thanks for your help.
