Ab workouts

Hi, I am new to this board, however, I have been dealing with IBS since I was 18. I workout every day and I recently decided to incorporate ab workouts 1 day a waeek. Ever since I have done the ab workout, I begin to feel bloated, and instead of my stomach thining out, it seems to be getting bigger and bigger and it's pretty painful. I wante to find out if anyone else has experienced this problem? if so do you know why working out and doing abs might have a negative affect?

I have a problem doing any ab exercises when I'm not stable...it just puts pressure on my tum that I don't need. Try fennel tea for the bloatingand maybe something a little easier than crunch-type exercises like yoga.

are the ones a PT gave me years ago... they involve laying flat on my back and trying to pull my tummy up to my chest... just laying flat and using the muscles wihtout moving.. those work and don't make me bloat.. crunches, etc all make me worse...
