I have been good...I haven't eaten chocolate since Monday. I did have some butter toffee yesterday but today I have had no unsafe sweeties. I find I am so hungry when I can't get my sugar fixes I am just eating all day!
Keep me motivated and I will report my sticking to only safe sweeties!

You can do it...it's only a high that your body relies on...I find if I have some fruits juice or milk with chocolate in it, just to get a fix and slowly weed that out - it seems to work.
Best of luck to ya Girl! It's so tough!
My weakness is always soda pop - I am addicted to the fizz!

I had a luna bar (sweet dreams) and some apple juice to ward off the cravings. I am back on track FULLY. I could not hack the whole sugar free jobbie, and I am getting through three small cartons of apple juice everyday at work, but its good for me as long as not on an empty stomach

I am not even trying right now to remove more from my diet.. but what I have removed DH makes me stick to more strictly then I might on my own.. its kinda sweet actually. I can't remove more... I'm sick and having issues eating anything and I'm supposed to be on an increasing caloric intake kick, not decreasing it right now...

Even when I'm under attack, like now, I manage to fit a tad of cocoa in, somehow, even if it's a little cocoa/honey in with some hot rice milk at night.
But I applaud you, if you can go cold turkey..
I guess my adictive nature takes over when it comes to chocolate....(sigh )

Sinead I know you can do it....remember how long you went last time....I am just like you...have been getting too tempted by nice but naughty treats recently...though I have managed to avoid the chocolate....hmm actually I take that back....brought back chocolate turron from barcelona and some alcoholic chocolates....yummy!! Also went out and got very drunk on valentines day....1st time Ive done that since I gave up alcohol for ibs a year ago(though I had mulled wine and port at xmas oops) I am promising myself that I will start being healthy...introducing more fruit and veg(safely) and listening to by tummy when it says...NO DONT EAT IT!! We shall get through this together....deep breath...here we go.....

Wow good luck on this mission. You have a lot more willpower than me because chocolate and I just cannot part ways. I find I can eat chocolate though if it's semi-sweet or any of the other darker varieties..milk chocolate is no good.
Good luck on this and we know you can do it!!
