...the juice was cold, but I thought acacia was supposed to dissolve well in cold beverages?? I poured that out and just used room temperature water, but it kind of globbed up in that too (though not as bad as in the juice). Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? What if I want to use it in my tea in the morning - do I need to let the tea cool off a bit?

Sorry for all the questions but I need some advice here!!

-Thanks!

Miss Pepper,
I use acacia twice a day with no problems, this is what I do:
I sprinkle it SLOWLY into a glass of water/ice tea/etc and mix it very little by little with a fork. Sometimes if I walk away from it for about ten minutes or less, the little globs will disolve and the water turns clear, just looks alittle foamy on the top.
Whenever I have the chance I try to put it in mushy foods (like oatmeal, applesauce, etc) cause it takes less effort, although I wouldn't pour it all in at once in that, either.hope this heklps! It is not so bad once you get in the routine of it

for telling me how you use your acacia. I poured the whole 1/2 tsp. into the juice (and then the water) all at once. Tonight I will try adding it gradually instead.

THANX

Check out this thread. About half the posts discuss dissolving acacia.

Mine gets clumpy in cold drinks, and MUCH better in room temperature drinks. I just put it in water - but always room temperature water. I also add it while I'm stirring the whole time.

I'm still experimenting with it Last night I mixed it in some soymilk with a fork - I had to stir it alot and still had some clumps But this morning I put it on my cereal, and that seemed to work much better.

Thanks again for all the help

Benefiber globs up too in ice cold water. I try for room temp water but if it has to be ice cold, I just have to stir it longer & it still works.
