I have a question? Sorry to be so descriptive, but what does it mean when you have dark stool? Does that mean that you have eaten too much fat that day?

Depends how dark you're talking. Sorry to be even more descriptive back, but really black, tarry-looking stools are a sign you need to call your doctor pronto. If it's not *that* dark, then it could be something you ate, although I don't believe it has anything to do with fats. Some medications will do it too - pepto bismol and kaopectate come to mind immediately.

Charcoal will do it, too. -nt- new

I'm fine, but it happened to me a while ago and I was just curious what that could mean. Thanks!
