Well, I went to the doc and they took my blood and tested me for celiac - the results came back negative which is a good thing but still leaves me confused. I'm still allergic to wheat gluten. They are testing my blood for other allergens but I haven't gotten the results back from that yet. I read somewhere that when one stops eating certain foods that they may be allergic to the celiac test won't come out correctly. Is that right? If so, is there anything else I can do to be tested for celiac or should I just not pursue it any further?

There's good info on a past post about celiac - check here web page
Also, a wheat allergy is not the same thing as celiac, which is a genetic autoimmune disorder. You could be allergic to wheat (and not necessarily the gluten, which is a protein, but another component) and test negative for celiac.
