I am new to the IBS diet and am craving something fatty, but I know that will trigger my colon. I don't really feel satisfied during meals because of this. I am really craving peanut butter, but only a little is tolerable. I was wondering if soynut butter was safer?

I am no expert, but I can tell you from personal experience that I eat soy butter frequently. I definately only eat it on soluble fiber (pretzels mostly) not on fruit or celery or wheat bread. My ibs-d has has never been triggered by it and I am very sensitive to hi fat foods. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the advice! I love peanut butter, but this is a great alternative. I tried some peanut butter this morning on a piece of toast, but it didn't settle well. I know now not to go their again. Take care and God Bless, Jessy

I haven't had soynut butter in a while, but I remember being able to eat it successfully. You might still want to go lightly with it; it does still have fat, which can be a trigger. But I've found I like it a lot better than the low-fat peanut butters, so you might have good luck with it too.

Cashew butter is pretty good - get the salted kind. It's different that peanut for sure, but it has a good flavor, both in cookies or spread on a rice cake or crackers. YUM!

Cashew butter! I'll have to check the health-food store; I don't think I've ever seen that before! I love cashews... so much more than I ever liked peanuts. Heh. Thanks for the idea!

No, I can't either. I tried posting it for the first time yesterday (someone on the board mentioned photobucket.com and that's where it's at). I messed up somewhere along the line. Gotta fix that!

Try using www.uploadimages.com instead. I recall someone (ibsgirl?) saying that there were problems with photobucket.

If you go back to your "My Home", where you put the image address in, there's a mistake with the address. It looks like this:

Remove the part I highlighted in red, and it should work. :) I use Photobucket too, and it's working fine!
