Hi and welcome to the board! I would say the safest things from that list (for most people) would be the toast, bananas, cornflakes and chicken, if it's white meat. However some people will still find they will upset them, so it's best to perhaps do an exclusion diet and see if cutting things out helps. Some people have posted about the BRAT diet, which is bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. These are foods are generally safe for most people. Hope this helps, Sarah

Hi there - Instead of focusing on specific foods and IBS, which can drive you crazy, it's a lot easier to learn the three big categories of food and how they can help or hurt IBS - soluble fiber, insoluble fiber, and fats. The only additions to those categories are GI irritants/stimulants like caffeine, carbonation, alcohol, and tobacco.
All of the foods on your list fall very clearly into the soluble fiber, insoluble fiber, or fat categories. Soluble fiber foods are great safe staples for IBS because they regulate bowel function, but insoluble fiber foods and fats can cause IBS symptoms to flare.
For detailed lists of foods from all these categories, and so you can see for yourself how to start placing foods in the right categories (and where the foods you've asked about fit in), check this page web page
Best, Heather
