Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hey everyone, this is not completely IBS related so you may want to skip it if you're not interested.

But Ruchie has asked about me, and a couple others, so I'll just give an update. I think it's good overall. I think I shared that after my Dr's orders to gain 6 pounds, and Eric taking the scale away, I got worse instead of better, just sort of in a downward spiral, and lost 6 pounds in less than a week. It was so clear to me that the whole thing was wrong but also so hard to stop, I'd determine to eat and sit down at the table intending to do it, then start to eat and just spit it out, unable to finish. It's a horrible thing to be caught in and I certainly don't want to make one bit of this sound appealing to anyone, it's horrible. So I went back to Eric and Mom and said I needed help, real help, and so they talk me through every meal practically and keep up on me. Also, I'm starting to get to where the idea of gaining muscle sounds really nice, I mean if I have to gain - what is it now, 12 lbs, to be in healthy range, then I might as well make it 12 lbs of muscle and look "buff" instead of "skinny", right? ha! So anyway, I'm doing weights, etc, but no aerobic exercise (nothing very strenuous) until the lbs are back on, per hubby's orders.

AS for the rest of life, I'm enjoying the kids to death, I have a hilarious video of my 2 year old painting his hair "grape" that I wish I could post for you all, it's a crack up for sure!! Emailed it family, they're loving it. They are just so much fun, and have been a big part of what has pulled me out of the "fog". That and prayer and family and FRIENDS.
