Mentos...safe or not?

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions of the IBS safeness of Mentos candies? I really like them because I find the peppermint helps my tummy, and I can't eat altoids because they're too strong and upset my GERD. But the Mentos dont' have detailed nutritional information on the package, and I haven't been able to find it on the net anywhere, and so I don't know if maybe there is something in them I shouldn't be eating.
Anyone know?

They should be fine. I surfed around and they seem to be plain sugar since they're made outside the US. In the US, HFCS is cheaper than sugar due to government subsidies, so most candy, cookies and soda here contain HFCS, which can sometimes be a trigger. But pure natural cane sugar and peppermint flavor should be JUST FINE, pretty healthy and helpful even.

I love Mentos and have eaten them for years. Since my IBS has intensified this last year, I have eaten more Altoids than Mentos as they seem to calm my tummy better. However, I still do Mentos and they seem to be fine
