It really is and they are getting somewhere in IBS, in the next couple years things will change somewhat. It is turning out, here they even mention it as an organic disease.
Here is a glossary also for any words in there, that might not be understood.

It was fantastic with all the graphics. I like being able to actually see what is happening. Makes it easier to comprehend.

Wow!
I have never seen such a comprehensive site for IBS. Some of the medical terminology was a bit overwhelming - but they did attempt to define things by allowing certain terms to connect to a definition.
It took me a while to manuever through the site. I liked that under the section of therapy they seem to make some correlation between food and the problem.
Hopefully a lot of good will come of this!
Thanks again for directing us to this site - I've bookmarked it and I'm sure I'll use it repeatedly for reference.

thank you Shawn for the info. One of my "old" Dr.'s told me that my IBS (which started approx. 11 years ago) turned into Proctitis/Ulcerative Colitis which I have now. The info here says it does not turn into UC. Hmm... maybe he hasn't read all his books yet? I will definitely be rereading this info. Thanks again sue
