Antibiotic Eye Drops - Will they affect IBS?

Hey Everyone,
I'm still on amoxicillin for the strep throat infection I had last week, and now I've developed an eye infection (it has not been my week) so they've put me on antibiotic eye drops (garamycin). Just wondering if anyone here knows if they will affect the GI system the same as any other antibiotic? Should I keep taking extra acidopholus when I'm done the antibiotic pills and just using the drops?

Boy, you sure have had your share of problems, haven'tcha, Girlfriend!?
Well, I didn't have a problem with my antibiotic (Flagyl -- for my diverticulitis). The pain killer they gave me in the hospital, however, did a BIG number on me, and I puked it all up. (Sorry.) But that's another story for another time.
I'm not on an antibiotic eye drop, but I am taking Alomide eyedrops for my allergies (seasonal). It's probably not the same, but it doesn't bother my IBS at all (I don't think -- although, say, come to think of it, I HAVE been having some morning cramps......)
Anywho, I'd just be on the alert. If you notice any problem in your tummy, call the doc! And, yes, as soon as I finished my course of antibiotic for my diverticulitis, I got right back on the probiotic, you bet!
Soon you will be all better -- please?

It certainly hasn't been my week, I'm starting to think that my immune system must be out of whack from my lack of nutrition or something, I just keep picking everything up! And I'm starting to go through messageboard withdrawal because my eye hurts too much for me to read! Oh dear
