One more question. Do trigger foods always upset your stomach immediately, or could it take days? Sometimes, right at the end of a good bowel movement (normal stools) I'll suddenly get diahara that enflames my anus. Since the diahrea is at the end, does that mean it was something I recently ate that caused it, or could it be something days before? ken

Hi and welcome!
I think everyone is different as far as how quickly trigger foods affect them, sometimes it's immediate and sometimes it can be the next day or so. It can vary according to what the trigger food was as well. I think the best thing to do is avoid all trigger foods completely and your colon will thank you!
Best of luck, Kerrie

I agree with KinOz - it depends on what you eat also. Sometimes I get awful cramps 15mins after eating, whereas on other times, it's taken 24 hours. Most of the time though, it's within about 2 hours of eating.
