Hey Guys,
Well, I'm trying to incorporate more veggies into my diet, and I've been starting with soup. Thankfully, my boyfriend knows his way around the kicthen and he has made baked potato soup and cream of pumpkin soup for me and they were both wonderful.
However, since I'm still pretty useless in the kitchen, I've been searching for pre-packaged soups that would be safe. Today I found an organic Creamy Butternut Squash Soup that seems to look pretty safe. I was hoping to list the ingredients so hopefully someone will jump in if there's something bad ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif) Here they are: Water, organic butternut squash, organic onions, organic rice syrup, organic safflower oil, organic rice flour, sea salt, organic spices.
250 mL has 118 cal, 2g protein, 2g fat and 23g carbohydrates.
How does it look? Thanks! Kelly

Hey Kelly,
Sounds good to me. And surprisingly low in fat too!

That's The Imagine brand right? I really like the butternut squash. I was thrilled when I found it at the grocery store up here. They've also got creamy potato/leak and creamy tomoato. both are good although the Tomato made me a little gassy.

Yes, it's safe, but if you think it will bother you in the least throw a handful or more of cooked rice in it. I do that with ALL my soups and it makes it even more safe. I always keep some cooked rice in the refrigerator. Besides, if you want to add a few calories (I don't need to) then it does that too. Or, have the soup with your fav bread, say French.

I agree with Jamie, I love Imagine soups! The squash is actually a little bland in my opinion, so I usually throw in a little cinnamon, nutmeg, and/or ginger to spice it up a bit. Then it's great! My favorite is the tomato, though. Because it's so acidic I don't eat it as the big part of my meal like I do with the squash, but I love having a little bowl along with a sandwich. I haven't tried any of the other flavors. I hope you like the squash!
