Hi everyone,
I have already posted this in the living room but just wanted to be sure everybody saw it.
Just thought I would let you know what I just found out. I have never taken Beano, but I have read on posts that some of you do. Following is info on Beano drops I copied from internet - Beano drops contain sorbitol and Beano tablets contain mannitol!
Directions:
Add about 5 drops to the first bite of the food serving. Don't hesitate to use more drops as needed if more than one serving of a problem food is in the meal. Too much heat can inactivate the enzyme, so don't cook with Beano.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients: per 5 drops: Alpha-Galactosidase Enzyme (150 GalU)
Inactive Ingredients: Water, Sorbitol, Salt, Disodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate

I'm not sure about that, but everyone seems to have had Beano do more good than harm. It may be that there is just a trace amount of the sorbitol in there...or maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part that the manufacturers would have used some common sense here!

Beano has sorbital!!!!!!!!! Geez, I never noticed that. What are they thinking of  I think we all need to send an email to the makers of beano and give them out 2 cents! Geez, it doesn't taste like it has any sweetner and doesn't need to have any.

You are probably right,it may be just a trace. Some people may have a better tolerance to sorbitol than I do. Anyway, it doesn't hurt to have the information out there. I was trying to remember why I never bought it and now I do!
