Hi to anyone who is interested:
Well, it's been about 3 months since my gastroparesis diagnosis, and things aren't a whole lot better. I have IBS symptoms on top of it all, and my diet restrictions make it worse. I'm having problems with being able to eat insoluble fiber - I can't eat raw fruit, raw veggies, dairy, red meat...I wasn't eating the dairy or red meat anyway but not being able to eat raw veggies is bumming me out big time. I haven't gained any weight but I'm bloated as all get-out...
I've finally quit smoking, which is good. I've also started on Lexapro. And I feel fat, ugly and generally disgusted.

I'm sorry girl I know how you feel. diarrhea doesn't make anyone feel pretty.. and bloating makes me feel like a beached whale sometimes! but you can totally vent to me and I WILL totally understand. congrats on quitting smoking though, thats a step in the right direction so they say. good luck!

Becca,
First sorry for the GP (gastorparesis) diagnosis. I really feel for you. I orignally came to this board for the recipies since the diet is similar to one for GP. I was looking through posts and came across yours. I belong to a wonderful support group for GP, http://b7.ezboard.com/bbellybusters . I have been symptom free for almost a year but still stay active with the group. If you are looking for more information please feel free to come and take a look around. With GP fiber is a BIG no. That could be causing your bloating. I hope you are able to find some relief very soon.
Take Care, Bonnie
