Is stomach distention common with colonscopy prep?

I better make this quick as I'm in between trips to the bathroom, I've started my prep about 4 hours ago and have found that I have really bad stomach distention, it's hanging out in a rather freaky manner.
I assume it could just be bloating, though I've never bloated anything like this. Does anyone know if this is common or if it's something to be concerned about?

It was normal for me, Kelly. I can't answer for everyone else, but yeah, I had it too.
You started only 4 hours ago? Gee, as I recall, I started in the morning and went ALL DAY LONG (literally!).
Isn't it 10:20 p.m. back there right now? You started at only 6:30 p.m.? That late? Is that what you were supposed to do? Wow. And the procedure is in the morning? What time?
I'll sure be thinkin' 'boutcha. Enjoy those great drugs! I'm jealous.

My test isn't until 2:30 in the afternoon, so it's the first prep at 6:00pm and the second at 6:00am, so it'll likely be a sleepless night for me 
When does it stop? I certainly hope it'll stop soon, I'm so wiped, I don't want to go to the bathroom anymore!

You'll get pretty knackered. Did you get any Gatorade? That would help - it's partly down to losing all those electrolytes. I ended up having a pillow and blanket on the bathroom floor because I was too tired to walk to and fro.

I just had one last week (oh lucky me) and I was terribly bloated and got really gassy. I really didn't feel too well at all the next morning before the test. Bleck. I will be thinking about you. The prep is no fun at all.
