My husband is picking up KFC tonight for dinner. I have checked the other posts and they all say that KFC is a trigger because the food is fried.
My question is what about the new Tender Roast Strips or Sandwhich? Are those ok? He is leaving right now so a quick answer would be great I don't know what to get!

If they have no skin they might be okay.

I guess it's probably too late, but I think it looked okay. I just checked their KFC Nutritional Guides.

Hi Mags,
Thanks for the great website on KFC nutritional info. I eat there a lot because it is right down the street. I can eat the crispy strips & biscuit without any problems. After I saw how much fat and calories are in it I may have to change my eating habits.

Well after reading the nutritional info. If you have a original recipe breast with no skin (assuming you just take this off?) then it is only 3 g of fat and 140 cal....pretty good huh? IS this for real????????

Thank you all for the advice. I ended up having the new tender roast strips with seasoned rice. That meal has 7g of fat. It came with 3 strips that are very well seasoned and the rice. It also came with greenbeens but I did not eat those.

It came directly from KFC's website, so it should be accurate. I've also read in magazine articles that KFC can be a healthy option if you remove the skin. As a matter of fact, there's an article in the current Prevention about healthy options at fast food places and under the KFC section it says "Original Recipe Chicken Breast: Removing the skin and breading saves 240 calories, 11 g of carbohydrates, 16 g of fat, 5 g of saturated fat, and 740 mg of sodium. Ask for the side of green beans. Total for the two: 190 cal, 34 g pro, 5 g carb, 4.5 g fat, 1.5 g sat fat, 2 g fiber, 870 mg sodium."
