Insoluble Fiber question for Heather

Does pureeing, cooking or peeling beans and fruits such as beans and apples lessen the amount of insoluble fiber that they contain?

Peeling would lessen the amount, because you're actually removing the insoluble fiber. Cooking and pureeing the foods just mechanically breaks down the insoluble fiber, making it much easier on your gut, but it doesn't actually lessen the quantity of fiber that's in there. This is good, because you do want that fiber.
