Hi,

I'm IBS-C and havent' been doing very well for the past couple of weeks - probably has something to do with hubby being away and the added load of looking after our daughter on my own, pets and the house etc...no exercise...being back at work for only a month or so after my mat leave...

Anyhow - it's been a number of days now since I've gone to the bathroom and I see that people on the boards have used Milk of Magnesia for C and others have recommended "Colon Cleanse".

My question is this: I know they are both laxatives (and it's probably a bad idea to use either of them ) but if I do use one which one is gentle and do either make you feel like "barbed wire being dragged through your gut" (I read that on the boards and thought it was a great way to put it! ).

Any help would be great!

Thanks!
Ana

Ana, I'm D not C, but I've seen other people mention Colace, a stool softening suppository, as the safest thing.
