Does anyone know of any ibs-safe soy protein bars that don't have chocolate (cocoa) in them..b/c I avoid chocalate (even cocoa) b/c it makes me feel ill (for my migraines, too). Genisoy has dairy in it and so does Dr. Soy and Luna, I think has choclate. Any suggestions???? Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

Luna has some non-chocolate bars that are pretty safe.
The Caramel Apple bar is my favorite. The only iffy ingredient is the small amount of cocoa butter in the caramel topping, but there is so much other soluble fiber in the oats that you will probably do okay with it. It even has gum arabic in it, which is the same ingredient in Benefiber.
Two other good flavors are Orange Bliss and Lemon Zest. Again, these have cocoa butter in them but they are so far down the list that I don't believe there is much.
They also put the following label on their bars:
Quote:
Contains soy, seeds & may contain traces of peanuts & other nuts * No hydrogenated oils * We source ingredients which do not contain wheat or dairy.
For more flavors, check out the Luna website. They also have a huge selection of these bars at Whole Foods!

Ooooooooh! Thanks Jennifer!! One last question! If I did okay with the oats like in oatmeal or in Kree's oatmeal cookie things will I do okay with the oats in these things, do you think, or do you think I just have to see for myself? Are the oats cooked in these? Okie dokie! Thanks for your help! I'm so excited now!

To be honest, I did better with the oats in these things than I did with the ones in Kree's cookies! I think a couple people mentioned that Kree's cookies helped with their C (without causing pain and D!) - myself included. And although these bars are very yummy, they didn't produce the same effect for me that the cookies did (but no bad effects either!).
Thanks for reminding me about those cookies! I've been horribly C lately and I should make a batch this weekend to see if they help. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
Let me know how you like the bars!
