I know this question wasn't aimed at me but I LOVE HUMOUS so I wanted to answer anyway... Humous is a spead or dip sorta stuff that is made of chic peas and garlic.. and probably some other stuff.. You can get it in Greek/Turkish restaurants and it's SO GOOD. You can also get it in any grocery store I've ever been in in little tubs. You can dip pitta bread in it, it's really good.. especially if you like garlic. --Steph

Casbah Natural Foods sells a Hummus mix in a box. You add water. How simple is that, huh?

You can also get it from a company called Fantastic Foods -- they call for some oil in the preparation, but you can usually use half and sub in a little more water to keep it creamy. Make sure to add lemon juice to give it a little zest!

Hummus is ground up chick peas, usually with a little flavoring of some sort. you can get it by the deli in most regular grocey stores. Its great on pita bread. I even use it as a subsitute on sandwhiches for mayo! Because is all ground up most people tolerate it very well.
All peas and beans are great sources of insoluble fiber.
Have you ever talked to your dr about miralax?? Its a prescription laxative. Most peoples colons will become addicted to it so you usually have to take it forever. I have been on it 3 years and its the only thing that keeps things moving. Do a search for more info, or let me know if I can answer any questions about it!
