Hi! I remember reading on the board that Graham crackers were safe. I tried them yesterday and I think it went okay. However, the second ingredient is whole wheat flour. Until now, I've always been told that whole wheat was to be avoided, what's the deal with that?

cute pic!
ok, this is by no means a scientific answer, but i think we're avoiding whole wheat 'cause of the bulkiness of it and the rough grains that can be found even in whole wheat breads. however, as crumbly and soft as graham crackers are, they don't pose a threat, bulkiness-wise.
did that make sense, kinda? i could be wrong, but that's my little twisted logic about it!
(note: i miss graham crackers... i have actually been craving them lately!)

Chantale, I think different brands have different ingredients. I've seen some with High Fructose Corn Syrup also.
But remember, whole wheat isn't so bad we need to eliminate it completely. As Heather says, we need SOME insoluble fiber in our diets (when we are stable) just for general health. And in a yummy graham cracker sounds like a good way to get it, IMHO!
