I feel so dumb I always thought peanut butter actually had butter in it (duh) because of it's name so I thought it was a no-no for IBS. However, in the grocery store today I looked at a container and low and behold, no dairy! So, am I too assume that it's safe? I know that it's really high in fat so you'd have to use it sparingly, and I would get the ultra-low fat kind, but other than that, is it all good? I'm so excited that I may be able to eat peanut butter!

Yup, it's good! Just have it on a thick piece of white bread or something, and you're good to go!

Some people have bad reactions to it from the fat content, so it's not a safe food for everyone. Personally I'm fine with it I'd say try some at a time and see how it goes!

Kelly, I thought that too for a long time! LOL
It can def. be a safe food. Depends on the person. Try it out!
*hugs*
Hope you're well!

I use creamy low fat PB. I prefer chunky, but the tum does not. I've been using the low fat for years, so much so that the regular stuff seems gross & greasy to me.
Anyhoo, I personally can handle the lovely peanut butter again, so long as it's not on an empty stomach.
