We're all sensative to different things, and carrots and oatmeal obviously don't settle well for you. Oatmeal may be easier to digest than whole wheat, but it's still a whole grain, so that one doesn't surprise me. It's not the safest for me, either. I've never heard of anyone having problems with carrots, but then again most people are okay wish mushrooms and they bother me. Plus I know LauraSue has a lot of veggie allergies, so maybe that's your problem with the carrots. The good thing is that if you know they're bothering you you can just cut them out and concentrate on other foods! Maybe you could try some brown rice to get your whole grains, and squash and potatoes are some other great high soluble fiber veggies. Don't fret, you'll be fine!

Like what Kree said, everyone's different. I can only eat oatmeal once in awhile, if I eat it for 2-3 days in a row I'm in SO much pain! The best thing is to find out what works best for you. Can you have oatmeal/carrots occasionally? Or not at all?

Don't feel alone - I have problems with carrots too!
Well, if I eat them one day, I'm okay - but 2 days in a row. No way Jose!

My advice, are you having the carrots well cooked or raw? I cannot have any veggies raw, they all need to be cooked a little. Also, raw oats like in granola or oatmeal cookies, are not good for me, but if I cook it really well then it is not a problem.
Hope that helps! Amy

I cook my carrots well and have no problem. If I am really lazy I eat canned carrots, again no problem. I just started eating oatmeal for breakfast with a banana. I thought I'd have a problem with the oatmeal but didn't. Glad there are some things that give me no problem as there are tons that kill me.
