We will be traveling to Spain (Seville, Barcellona, and Marbella) for 3 weeks next month. I heard that the food is prepared with alot of oil; rice is oily as well. Does anyone have any suggestions for specific dishes, restaurants, or anything else that might help. Thanks.

Hiya,
Well, I don't know how much I can help because I guess it depends exactly where you are in Spain but I found that when I went there last year, we found quite a few Italian-type restaurants. I spent a lot of time eating fairly plain pasta and lots of breads! Also, a lot of Tapas food has rice and potatoes but the oil can be a bit high.. You can always ask at whatever restaurant you are in to cook with as little oil as possible, just make sure you know how to say it in Spanish! Anyway, I had an awesome time when I went to Spain last year with pretty much no belly trouble so I have my fingers crossed for you. Have an excellent trip!
