I am in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and we just got 23 cms of snow in 24 hours. (24 cms = about 10 inches or so) Nothing is running here - not couriers, buses, anything, but somehow I made it to work There is even a 3-4 hour wait for a tow truck!(Thank goodness I have a 4 x 4's!) I wish I had a compact car - so I could have been "storm stayed" LOL.
Just wanted to see if anyone else is in the same pickle!

I know how you feel about snow, coming from Labrador! We recently had a two day snow "storm", and I wish I had 4x4!! They take sooo long to clear the roads it was just horrible. This year was horrible for snow here for some reason, definetly over 5 ft! I don't believe it is the end of it either, the last day for snow last year was early June!! I need to go somewhere sunny for a vacation!

In Appleton, WI we are getting freezing rain. In the outskirts of the city schools are already closing and people are out of power.

Yeah, we're expecting the same system tonight - all the lovelies - ice pellets, freezing rain, blowing snow, .... I'm worried - my hubby is supposed to drive home from Cincinnati tonight - I just called him and warned him either stay overnight or leave now!! I can't help but worry. I must say we MUST revive the Canadians Sick of Winter Club !!!!!

Sign me up Hans.
I am the same for worrying....I hate storms - especially snow storms because the roads are icy etc and the driver has no control over the other dorks driving skills on the roads LOL

I've been hearing that the East Coast really got a pelting this year. My dad sells snowmobiles so I love snow, but that rain doesn't help anybody's situation.

Guess you don't want to hear that I just sat out in the sun in my lawn chair reading while my kids nap, it's over 80 and blue sky here in Charlotte, NC. Then again it was snowing Sunday and could be again tomorrow, the weather is so volatile here it's unbelievable!!

We are getting freezing rain right now. I can hear it pelting the windows. The stairs going outside have been so slippery all day I was afraid I or my girls were going to fall. Bringing in the groceries today was fun.

That's really funny -- I'm originally from Halifax, and my parents (my mother especially) have done nothing but complain about the amount of snow they recieved this year. Meanwhile here in Chicago, we've had hardly any, so they were a little jealous. Honestly though, I kind of miss it -- although I'm sure my tune would change once I had to start shovelling!
