Heather, I was wondering if you any suggestions for me. Every morning I try to get up before work and work out. Well I get to the gym and I do a fast paced walk for about 10 minutes and a few minutes after I get off the treadmill and on to other things I get horrible stomach cramps and am in the bathroom for 30 minutes. I don't know what the trigger is, I do not eat before hand. And this has happened a few time in the evening. I want to work out and be healthy, but its hard to when you try and your IBS keeps kicking in. ANy advice?

Could it be the working out on an empty stomach? I know if my tummy is empty it can't stand any stress or strain. Perhaps having a soluble fiber sachet and a rice cake before would just fill you up a bit, give your system something to work on. sarah

Yes - I was wondering too if you're on an empty stomach here. And - are you having a lot of water before your workout? If you just get up and go work out you're going 8 hours without water, and you may get dehydrated. That could cause the cramps.
