I've never heard of it, and I am skeptical of anything promising a cure... do you have a link to the website?

I've just found this info on the web, it seems to be a polysacchiride derived from aloe vera-
*Through specific enhancement of the body's defense mechanisms,
Helps stop the bleeding, damage and leakage of the intestine wall, thereby taking the stress off the immune system. Helps to effectively balance and restore proper immune system function alleviating the auto-immune response and allergic conditions. Acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent to reduce inflammation. Helps to rebuild the intestinal protective mucosa lining. Promotes and accelerates the tissue healing process. Helps stop the overproduction of stomach acids which lead to heartburn, acid reflux disease or “gastroesophageal reflux disease” (GERD) Aids in the restoration of proper moisture levels within the colon eliminating both diarrhea and constipation over time. Helps fuel all bodily systems through the promotion of proper digestion, absorption and assimilation of foods and nutrients. Aids in the normalization of an array of damaging processes in the digestive tract. Aids in the elimination of maldigestion and thus a host of pathological reactions Has direct anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-yeast and anti-parasitic effects. Increases Phagocytosis dramatically to ingest foreign viral and bacterial agents. Promotes the proliferation of healthy flora in the digestive tract. Helps to control chronic yeast growth so that normal healthy flora may thrive. Helps to increase blood circulation throughout the body and aids in blood sugar balancing. Is an extremely effective intracellular antioxidant and free radical scavenger. Permeates every cell in the body. Is not digested by the enzyme systems - it is taken up into the cell INTACT. Is absorbed through special receptor sites which exist within the human digestive tract. Is 100% non-toxic with No negative side effects. May be used simultaneously with any medication with NO contra-indications. Is 100% natural and available in powder or capsule form. A.M.P. is classified as an edible food material and is safe for adults and children of ALL ages. A.M.P. is not a drug. No prescription is needed.
Note: A.M.P. Molo-CureŽ is not “Aloe Vera” as Aloe is commonly understood. A.M.P. Molo-Cure is the healing agent, which has been extracted from the Aloe Plant. It takes approximately Eight gallons of Aloe Vera to make just one ounce of A.M.P. Molo-CureŽ. (1000 to 1 potency.) See manufacturing process.
The wbsite is www.molocure.com

No, I am sorry I didn't get the web site. I think if you just go to askjeeves.com and type in the name it will bring it up.

In reading about colitis on the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's website (www.ccfa.org), there was a link to some testimonials about Molo-Cure . I have no personal knowledge of this product, but since aloe is an anti-inflammatory (works great right from the plant to soothe a burn, for instance) maybe there's some value to it. I believe some chemotheraphy patients also use aloe vera juice to soothe their mouths and throats. Just wonder if the juice would help somewhat? I'm very reluctant to try plant-based products because of allergies. If anyone tries it, I hope they post the results!

I've been taking an aloe vera tablet(equivalent to 5000mg pure aloe vera) for a couple of weeks, with my lunchtime meal when I'm not taking my peppermint oil or Fybogel, and I have found it seems to keep my tummy calmer. It certainly didn't make it worse at least! Sarah

I found another product on the web, sounds very similar to Molo-Cure. I emailed the doctor of the second product and he replied. I thought you might be interested:
Subj: Re: Compare MPS-Gold with Molo-Cure Date: 4/4/2003 11:02:29 PM Eastern Standard Time From: Wheeleroffice To: Whaluscak Q: I've just been diagnosed with colitis, and found the Molo-Cure website. Then, a search for "Ivan Danhof, MD" led me to YOUR website. Now, I'm confused! Which product does he believe in? And, what is the difference in the two products? I am greatly interested in using a natural product so that I won't have to be on prescription meds or possibly have surgery!
A: What Danhof believes in is not relavant. Choosing a supplements is not about belief, but instead about information. The fact of the matter is that MPS-GOLD 100 is much more complete in terms of the active ingredient of the galactomannan molecule (this is MPS or Mucilaginous Poly Saccharide). It is all about molecular weights and MPS-GOLD 100 is more complete. Please review the information in this regard at www.0disease.com/0sciencerept.html -- the other freeze dried aloe vera product listed is the source that Molocure uses for their aloe powder.
Colitis will respond much better to freeze dried aloe vera powder that has the complete range of molecular weights of the active ingredient. In fact, MPS-GOLD 100 is a cut above any other loose powder aloe vera product in terms of the active ingredient being complete as representative of the actual plant.
You can order online at www.0disease.com/0shop.html or call the toll free number in the USA to the 24 hour order desk at 1-800-760-3530.

Just FYI: if anyone's interested in "Nutriceuticals" - natural products - but a little skeptical, as I am, you might want to check out the websites of various "watchdog" organizations. One you might like is www.quackwatch.org.
Praying for healthy bodies for us all!
