Anyone ever hear/see of them? I chew fennel seeds plain on-the-go when I need to, but candy-coated would make this experience so much more pleasant.
I read about these on another board, but was wondering if anyone found them here.

I've found candy coated anise seeds--a French brand. I got them at Cost Plus World Market. They work pretty well when you're on the go.

I've never even heard of those, but I agree, that would be fantastic!

Thanks tuxedo. Are they choco/carob-coated? Sugar-coated?
I'm in MI and don't have a Costo near me. What is a Costo and could anyone tell me what a comprable grocery store would be? What section do you find these in?

Hi
In the summer time I had posted about candy coated fennel seeds. So i figure that it might have been my post that your read. I had bought them from Superstore (Canadian) and they taste pretty good. Though it didn't really go into what's all in them but they taste good. I figured I could eat them as candy or use them for cooking some dessert that I wanted to taste like licorice. I also eat the fennel seeds by the way of staming carrots in the microwave and fennel seeds in with them. They come out nice and soft and flavour the carrots.

the ones I have are sugar coated. They are made by Anis de l'abbaye de flavigny (anis pastilles). You might try looking for them in the "international" section of an upscale supermarket or any other store that you know of that sells imported goods from Europe. They would be with the candy, with other French pastilles, German chocolate, etc. I also really like this licorice from China with a panda on it that doesn't have all sorts of other junk added to it, but I can only tolerate a few pieces. Good luck!

Nope, not dumb question, and yep, they help with gas and bloating. Fennel is also an anti-spasmodic so it's helpful to prevent/relieve abdominal spasms and cramps, especially for folks who can't tolerate peppermint (like those with reflux or GERD). Check here for more about fennel web page

I'm just curious, Robyn, did the ones you tried look like any of the candies on the page Shell shared? I'm just curious b/c they sound very interesting!
