I was wondering what everyone put on their pasta? I'm not really looking for anything fancy- is just lemon juice acceptable?

This is the easiest, quickest, and most delicious. It came from Weight Watchers, and I've been making it for years. You'll love it: Pesto

Here's one I've made that's really easy: Lemon Pepper Pasta. Check the Recipe Exchange or the index for more ideas.

Hey Bev, quick question...
why is dried basil not good for your pesto recipe? (hard to find fresh herbs here)

Taste, TASTE, TASTE . All the flavor you're putting into the pasta comes from the garlic and the basil. Dried just doesn't cut it. It would be like substituting garlic powder for the fresh garlic. You can try it, but I think you'll be disappointed.
Fresh is hard to get here too. And it's not cheap. I believe I had to pay $3 for a little tiny plastic container of the stuff -- it's in the produce section, of course, but not really with the produce; it's where they have the other fresh herbs.
If you still can't find the basil, wait 'till spring when it's in season. I really wouldn't waste my time with the dried stuff.

I put a little bit of olive oil, garlic, basil, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast.
