Hi everyone,
I moved to a new city four months ago and am beginning to suspect I have a major problem with the water. Has anyone switched to bottled and had major improvements?

Hi, welcome from another "LauraS!" But I'm afraid I can't shed any light on your question.

Everybody, any thoughts?

Laura, I haven't gone near the faucet in a very long time. I use filtered water that I get in town. My hubby and I schlepp those huge 5-gallon jugs back and forth, up the stairs, through the condo, out to the balcony (where they're stored) every week. That water is for drinking for all of us -- including our adorable little puppy dog. Nobody drinks from the faucet. And I also use that water for cooking.

If I could get spring water, I would. However, I learned in chemistry class a hundred years ago that the reason people believe spring water is so much healthier for them is that it contains minerals -- primarily MAGNESIUM (a laxative)!

Good question. This is only a guess, but harsh chemicals may cause irritation. Consider trying the bottled or buying an inexpensive filtration system (like Brita or Pure Plus) and see if you notice any difference.
