It's like peanut butter except it is really creamy, made out of hazel nuts, and has swirls of chocolate in it. It is really yummy, but 2 T has 210 calories. I give it to my son to help him gain weight. It also has milk sugar and low fat milk powder in it. Also fat calories are 110.

Well -- it has less fat than peanut butter. The doc told me it's healthier than peanut butter -- I forgot about the dairy -- it's skim milk in it... it is a very small amount -- so if you just use a small amount of the nutella -- and you are not super sensitive -- you should be okay. Sorry I brought it up. I haven't had peanut butter or nutella since I found out I have IBS -- I was just thinking that if you all thought peanut butter was okay =-- that Nutella would be even better -- forgot about the dairy....

I can't remember the ratio of fats in almonds, but I'm sure it's more heart healthy than peanut butter - and peanuts do contain some lectins which can be unhealthy for some people. I think peanuts are higher in saturated fat. Plus almonds are high in nutrients, especially calcium.

Haven't had any for a while, but I'll check next time to go to that health-food shop. Don't think it was sweetened. I just liked a little bit now and then on an oat-cake or something.
