http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/constipation/basics/definition/con-20032773 Though I'd rather use this IBS website's recommendations for the treatment part, since other remedies can cause additional problems for us.

Thanks a lot! I always have a LOT of respect for the Mayo Clinic!
Supposedly the BEST doctor for IBS is at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Lucy Harris!
If ever I get enough money to see her I WILL!!
BEST to everybody on this site! You are ALL heroes, having to live with this very vexing condition!!
-------------------- Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.

That's not too far from me..but still, if they haven't a cure..;I don't think they take my totally state funded insurance; Can't tell by their AZ website. All Insurance Co. should at least pay for all NO side effects IBS supplements that really reduce pain, gas and normalize BMs and dieticians, nutritionists etc. who would more so prescribe them. Never have been able to do whole grains or other insolubles normally like I use to, since 14 yrs ago or after starting diet;though I'd rather be on this diet than any other out there.
