I've found that most OTC fiber supplements don't do much for me. Stimulant laxatives like senna cause terrible cramping and pain. And I already eat plenty of fiber. I feel like I'm nearing the end of my options!

Are you getting enough magnesium?? Attached is a link for Natural Calm. Add anywhere from 1 t. to 3 T. each night to tea. Helps greatly with constipation. I stir in 1/3 C. chia in 2 C. of water. Let stand 5 minutes, stir again and refrigerate. This makes a gel. I eat a couple T. per day. It's high protein, calcium, and fiber. Try eating a couple of handful of kidney beans every day. Lots of fruits and veggies. I'm one who needs a lot of insoluable fiber and lots of water. http://www.vitacost.com/natural-vitality-natural-magnesium-calm-16-oz

Thanks! I have not tried magnesium before. I will have to give that a shot! And I'm glad high insoluble fiber works for you but for many people with IBS it's a trigger. I try to eat beans because they are high fiber but I usually pay for it.
