Ok.
Struggling to get more vegies and fruit. I am really bad with vegies and fruit. So made this tonight and wanted to know if it is "ok".
Tonight I made a Lasagne with gluten free sheets, 3/4 of a chopped, peeled carrot cooked tender, a tiny bit of chopped onion and garlic, turkey mince, 2 peeled and grated zucchini and herbs and tomato passatta topped with vegan cheese and 3 grams soluble fibre.

It was a big Lasagne so I have leftovers. So far my tummy feels ok. I love Lasagne so really hope I dont have any side effects. I am just scared that because the vegies I eat have to be basically cooked to mush before I can eat them do I get any nutrients from them? All these smarty pants at my gym can have raw juices and talk about eating raw and I just can't do that it would rip my guts to pieces. Trying SO hard to be healthy and lose weight and with the pain from Fibromyalgia it just is so hard.

Now onto my Smoothies:

How much soluble fibre is roughly in a ripe yellow banana? I have the ones with black on them as I prefer the taste.
I want to have the following smoothies but need to know if my soluble fibre ratio is good. My body is screaming out for berries. I strain all my smoothies to remove seeds and skin:

Smoothie 1: 1 Banana. Oat Milk. Teaspoon Cinnamon. Half a tablespoonCacao. 1 gram soluble fibre. (I will work up to more I just started).

Smoothie 2. Small handful chopped mint. 3/4 cup of Strawberries. Drop of maple syrup. 1 Banana. 1 gram soluble fibre. Oat Milk.

Smoothie 3: Oat Milk. 1 Banana. About a cup of apricot and/or peach flesh no skin at all. 1 gram soluble fibre.

Smoothie 4: A glass of fresh squeezed orange juice no pulp. A banana. Oat Milk. 1 Gram soluble fibre (benefibre wheat dexttrin).

I then strain them and obviously only have one at a time. I really want to eat more insoluble fibre fruit and veg but am finding it hard. I would also like to start adding 1 teaspoon chia seeds mixed with water to this but not sure if my soluble fibre ratio is good enough to allow that.

I am also looking at the fructose free diets aswell and am getting tested soon.

It's hard to judge foods by the actual numbers of fiber grams. If you're blending/straining your smoothies that's going to eliminate just about all the insoluble fiber.

Best thing is to try these, and see how you do. Easiest way to up the soluble fiber in all of them is just add more of your soluble fiber supplement.

XOXO
