I haven't had the "stomach flu" for a long time. I just got it a few days ago with the classic symptoms including fever, chills, massive headache, etc.. I hated to do it but the pain was so severe I got on Advil for about 24 hours and now it feels like my GI tract is ripped to shreds. A little rice turns into a foamy factory. I've only had a cup of rice today and lots of water. What else would help sooth things down?

Chamomile tea always seems to help me calm things down and keep some liquids flowing....I drink it in between meals and with meals...

I do have some, thanks for the tip. The "foamy/gas" has slowed down and now it's nausea and that feeling like the food just won't digest or go down. I tried a digestive enzyme last night with 1/2 turkey burger (veggie cheese, lettuce, mustard, bun) to get some protein and iron in my system. I'm feeling sooo weak. But, it took about 4 hours to work it's way down, I had to fight throwing it back up all night. Ugh...

OMG me too. I've never had flu for six years. This wednesday at 3pm, I felt horrible pain. Like a knife stabbing in my gut and butt!!! Thursday, my whole abs lower and upper felt so tender to touch, hurt! Yesterday and Today, I'm still feeling weak and tired with sore muscles and lower abs pain. I am eating jello, gluten free pretzel, and hot tea. I'm wondering when I should get a flu shot, there are different kind. Shall I ask for high power flu shot and last whole year? Is there any food I could eat? CathyF IBS-A, gas, bloated
