question about peels for Heather

If I suffer from constipation, shouldn't I leave the skin on some veggies such as cooked zucchini or eggplant or potatoes? I'm cofused. I'm eating them with a SF food so what do you suggest? I do have lots of pain, too, though. I don't know what to do.

"The second rule to remember here is that while you should be having lots of fresh fruits and veggies every day, make sure you cook, peel, chop, seed, dice, and/or puree most or even all of them. Peeling and seeding fruits and veggies will remove the toughest insoluble fiber altogether. Chopping, cooking, and pureeing will mechanically break down the insoluble fiber in fruits, vegetables, beans, and nuts before you eat it, making it much less likely to provoke problems."

Syl, I know you are trying to help...but I have read her website and books for years now. I still have this question for Heather, though. She told me to eat the peel, but I'm not sure she realized I have pain and constipation, so I am still confused.
Did you read her post above that told me to not have to peeL? I really need her advice.

I believe she said "The goal is to eat as much insoluble fiber as possible, you just have to do so cautiously as it is a potential trigger."
The simplest thing to do is dramatically decrease insoluble fiber consumption for a couple of weeks and then slowly add more insoluble fiber back into your diet to determine how much you can actually handle.
As I recall you have more than 3 bowel movements per day. Correct?

Diarrhea from Miralax may mean that you are not properly emptying and the stool that is coming out is actually going around the stool that is stuck inside. The colon cannot handle all the stool so its way of coping is to cause diarrhea. However, you can still be constipated even with the diarrhea
