Low fodmap food questions...yes or no?

Are these or are they not low fodmap: artichokes, avocados, pumpkin, butternut squash, maple syrup, turnips, coconut oil, almond yogurt, almonds and nuts and nut butters (peanut butter), soy in products, molasses? And especially dandelion tea...as I drink this a lot! I read differing things on different websites. Even syl's links say different things. Is there on guide that you low fodmap people follow?

There are many unreliable FODMAP sources on the web stick with the first link in my signature or check Kate Scarlata's web site directly. She is a registered dietitian who has been to Australia to be trained by the developers of the FODMAP diet.

Artichokes are on the avoid list. Up to a 1/4 of an avocado is ok. More than that can be problematic as they contain polyols.

You will have to spend some time reading the information closely.

If a food is not on the high FODMAP list then it is likely okay.

There IS NOT a definitive list of OK food. There is a only list of NOT OK foods and a list of a few OK foods.

what about all the other foods I listed? Many of them are not listed on either the avoid or "eat" link you have (Ie, dandelion tea). This second rescource I sent a link too seems more expanded, but I don't know if it is reliable.

So, the website I posted is unreliable? It says dandelion tea is a no go. But she is wrong?

Please, can someone help me with the other foods I listed. I eat/drink them a lot and I don't want to keep ingesting them if they are hurting me. please. So stressed. want to do this right!

The link you provided has an error. You might correct it.

I had a look at the web site and it looks like it was prepared by a knowledgeable RD. Yes - Dandelion tea and soy products except for firm tofu are on the high FODMAP list

Instead of jumping all over the place choose a couple of reliable sites and stick with it. Perhaps use the site you gave in the previous posting and the ones in my signature.

cassandra low fodmap diet

Hopefully, this one works. The problem with following more than one is that they offer conflicting food lists and that is confusing...very confusing. I love dandelion teas so very much.
